Our Classroom Community
This year we have 24 very bright students in our class. In order to create a positive learning environment it is important that we build a classroom community that celebrates and accepts our diverse classmates. Every student brings something new and exciting to our class and this year I want to recognize each of these students strengths. In order to recognize each student, we will have a star of the week each week. When your student is the star of the week will we recognize their favorite subject, toy, and food and what your student would like to be when he/she grows up. We will have an interview with your student in front of the class so their classmates can learn more about your student! I ask that when your student is star of the week you send in pictures to share with the class.
Also, I believe that in order to establish a positive classroom community your student should feel a part of the classroom. In order to do this, I will have each student take on an important class job! Your student will be responsible for completing this job whenever needed. This will give your student a chance to fulfill a role in our classroom. I have provided another link that will list all of the classroom jobs and the students names next to which job they are responsible for.
